Development up for award
THE new Ashley Court development in Easton near Wells is up for a Local Authority Building Control award.
The four new detached homes were built by Helm Construction on behalf of Cranleigh Developments just off the main road through the village.
Two of the four homes, each with four bedrooms, remain on the market with Laurel & Wylde in Cheddar at £299,950 and £290,000.
Helm Construction Chief Executive Gary Sheppard said: “The project called for four two-storey detached houses in the heart of Easton – which is still characterised by its Victorian style.
“The design is very much in keeping with the local character of the village, with stone facades and brick detailing complimenting the surrounding buildings and the landscaped gardens merging with established, mature trees on the site.
“With so much floor space and just five minutes’ drive from Wells and a 30-minute commute to Bristol and Bath, we don’t believe these homes will remain on the market long.”
