Wells Junior Bake Off challenge to raise funds for Marie Curie
A WELLS Junior Bake Off competition is being held to raise money for the Marie Curie charity.
It costs £5 to enter and anyone up to the age of 15 can take part. The closing date is May 29.
“The theme is Daffodils or Wells and the cake can be one, two or even three tiers if they like,” said organiser Tina Blackwill.
“They need to send three photos of themselves making the cake and a final photo of themselves with their finished masterpiece. They can also send a short video of themselves saying what they are making and why. I will judge the competition from the photos so it’s completely virtual – as long as they look good enough to eat, that's all that counts.”
The winner will receive a chocolate and sweetie goodie hamper worth £40.
All entries can be paid for via bank transfer to Marie Curie.
“I am a former award-winning cake artist myself, specialising in wedding cakes, so I’d like to see artistic flair, great imagination, wonderful shapes and bright colours,” said Tina.
People can enter by contacting Tina on Facebook or emailing her on firstname.lastname@example.org
