• Wells Natural History & Archaeological Society talk by Brian Roberts-Wray, Why Birdwatching in Somerset?, Wells & Mendip Museum, 2.30pm. Brian will explain why he thinks Somerset is such a fantastic county for birdwatching. He has a wealth of local knowledge, much of it gained as the leader of Wells U3A’s Ornithological Group.

• Tai Chi for Health free taster session, Wells Library, 11.30am-12.15pm.

• Wells U3A Singing for Pleasure Group will meet in the Seager Hall, Union Street, at 2.30pm. All U3A members welcome.

• New lecture series by Joanna Cobb, MA: Art and Artifice in Tudor England. Lecture 1: Fashioning brand Tudor – Holbein, his predecessors and successors, Seager Hall, Wells, 2pm-4pm. £10 per person/£18 for two people for one lecture or £25/£45 for the series.
