• Oceans of Plastic information day supported by Plastic Free Wells, Wells Library, 9.30am-1.30pm. Find out why this is such an important topic. Lots to see, plus activities for children.
• Opening of Hilliard Society of Miniaturists’ annual art exhibition which continues until June 9 (closed June 3), Wells Town Hall. Free entry.
• Croscombe Summer Market, Village Hall, Fayreway, 10am-2pm. Local produce, crafts, preserves, plants, tombola, Pimms and cream teas, light lunches. All welcome. Contact Mary Cadogan: 01749 572875.

• Tortoise & Hare Run organised by Wells Classic Motorcycle Club for motorcycles and scooters of all ages. Sets off from Market Place at 10am.

• Health Walk in and around Wells, meet Pickwicks Cafe 11am, with Ruth/John. 60-90 minutes.
• Henley Hill Farm, Haybridge, near Wells, open as part of Somerset Wildlife Trust’s ‘Somerset’s Wildlife Gardens’, 11am-4pm. Chance to see wildflower and grass rich meadows and pastures with incredible views. £4 per adult, free for under 16s.

• Wells Floral Art Club presents Julia Harrison with her demonstration A Feast of... at St Thomas’ Church Hall, Wells, 2.15pm.
Julia is a teacher and demonstrator from Exmouth.

• Opening of Kate Noble: A Celebration art exhibition, Andelli Art, Mendip House, Upper Breach, South Horrington. Open Tue-Sat, 10am-5pm, until July 7.
• City of Wells Almshouses Open Day, 11am-4pm. Visit the almshouses, gardens and chapel.

• Migraine Support Group meeting, Methodist Hall, Southover, 10am. The first group meeting, in April, was very successful so the group has decided to meet on a monthly basis. All welcome.

• The English Country Garden Festival, The Bishop’s Palace, 10am-5pm, until June 24.

• Heritage celebration in Southover and adjoining streets. Exhibition, teas, music, open gardens and open houses.
